Thanks to the generosity of a valued long term member of the Central YMCA Club, a bursary fund has been established to provide free training opportunities for young people and volunteers. The Basil Scott Training Bursary offers successful applicants access to YMCAfit training and qualifications up to the value of £10,000 per annum. Basil Scott died in 2010 and made provision in his will for funds to be left to Central YMCA. The charity's trustees decided to create the Bursary to assist those who would otherwise be unable to afford such training.
