Fundraising Manager

Permanent Full Time (40 hours)
Central London
c. £37,500 per annum

Do you want to be part of “a world of good”?

Central YMCA is the world’s first YMCA and the UK’s leading activity for health charity, championing the benefits of health-based and creative activity through advocacy, education and direct delivery. Reaching thousands of people across the UK and worldwide, we strive to boost the confidence and wellbeing of every individual we meet, in mind, body and spirit. With an annual turnover of £10 million, our operations cross local, regional and national borders to help a hugely diverse range of people develop and succeed in health and fitness, the arts and community learning.

Following a period of change and the implementation of a dynamic new senior management structure, we are now embarking on the next phase of our strategic plan with a new Development Directorate to drive and support creative growth across the Charity. Our new Fundraising Manager will be a key member of this new Directorate.

As Fundraising Manager you will take the lead on developing and implementing an ambitious statutory and trusts fundraising strategy, developing lasting relationships with a range of funders and opportunities to generate income from local, regional, national and European sources.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record to develop imaginative, mission-critical project proposals to attract funding from a range of statutory bodies, trusts and foundations. You must have a proven track record in maximising income generation from a range of funders; excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills; experience in managing budgets and presenting financial information; outstanding knowledge of the public and third sectors and understanding of partnership working.

If this sounds like the opportunity you are looking for, please download and complete an application form and return this to greatstaff@ymca.co.uk. For a discussion of the role please send an email for the attention of Deborah Potts at e.richards@centralymca.org.uk.
